Louisa Simons
Louisa Simons is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Money and Pensions Service.
She joined MaPS from Innovate UK, where she was COO, accountable for operational delivery, business systems and data, HR, ED&I, customer experience and business change. She initiated and led the Innovate UK Accelerating Customer Excellence Programme, delivering improvements in customer service for the thousands of grant applicants and leveraging technology and data to streamline and improve processes and enable better decision making. This included cultural transformation with a strong focus on leadership development, employee engagement and happiness.
Before this, Louisa was COO for the Corsham Institute, which delivered research and programmes to excite, retrain and upskill people for the digital economy. Prior to that Louisa was Risk and Assurance Director, followed by Transformation Programme Director at the National Trust – acting as the catalyst for improvement in business processes, technology and the control environment, then seeing that through into design and implementation of new processes, EPoS and an ERP system for the commercial businesses of the Trust.
Louisa started her career at PwC, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked with multiple different businesses to improve their control environment and give assurance over financial accounts, business processes, risk management, internal controls and IT systems.
